Fitchburg Housing Authority was established in 1948. The Agency’s mission is to provide safe, secure rental units for families, elderly, and handicapped or disabled persons. Both the State and Federal Governments fund the programs. Depending upon the program, applicants can be housed either in private sector dwellings or apartment complexes owned by the Fitchburg Housing Authority. FHA Reopening to Public, Tuesday, April 6, 2021

The FHA will resume normal operations beginning on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Normal office hours will resume at all FHA office locations.

Routine work orders and unit inspections will also be resuming starting in April. We ask all residents to observe social distancing and wear masks when visiting FHA offices and when maintenance staff are in your apartments.

FHA – Invitation to Bid FISH#097164

The Fitchburg Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites written quotes from Contractors for the C. J. Durkin (667-5), 4th Floor Entrance Project, #097164 for the Fitchburg Housing Authority in Fitchburg Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Architect, Rex Renzoni.  The Project consists of: The Waiting Area at the 4th Floor Entrance is to be converted to an office space of about 160 sf. The exact scope of work is specified in the bid documents.  The work is estimated to cost $ 21,296 and the bid is to subject M.G.L. c.149 §44A (2)(B) & to state prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 ($10,000-$50,000.00) inclusive.   Written Quotes will be received until 4:00 p.m., Wednesday December 1, 2021.   All Quotes should be submitted to: Douglas M. Bushman, Executive Director & CPO, Fitchburg Housing Authority at 50 Day Street, Fitchburg, MA 01545 and received no later than the date & time specified above.  Contract Documents will be available digitally at: 50 Day Street, Fitchburg MA 01420 at Fitchburg Housing Authority or by email Mr. Rex Renzoni at rexr@townisp.com or phone 774-278-8882.

 

During bidding, the job site will be available for inspection between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021.  Please wear a face mask during site visit. Location is C. J. Durkin State Public Housing Development located at 50 Day Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. 


Fitchburg Housing Authority HUD Five Year, Annual Plan & EPIC Five-Year Plan Public Meeting


The Fitchburg Housing Authority, a public housing agency, on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at 10:00 am will be holding a public hearing on its U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development’s Five-Year, Annual & EPIC CIP Five-Year and Annual Plan submissions. HUD’s Five-Year and Annual Plans are designed to allow housing authorities to make short- and long-term plans and changes in procedures with input from its customers and the public.  The Energy and Performance Information Center (EPIC) is a program designed to collect summary capital fund grant activity and energy efficiency measures (EEM) – planned and completed - being implemented with HUD PIH Capital Fund Formula or Replacement Housing Fund grants.  The FHA public meeting is a regular scheduled meeting and will be held at the C. J. Durkin Apartments Community Room located at 50 Day Street Fitchburg MA.  For more information or reasonable accommodation requests please contact Douglas M.
